There are many checkbook programs to choose from, so why choose Simply Checking?
Because Simply Checking is so easy to use, you can start using it right away! All
controls are visible on the screen not buried in a labyrinth of pull down menus.
Help files are provided, but odds are that you won't need them! Though there are
many choices, you will not find a program as easy to use as Simply Checking!
Simply create an account with the account manager by entering an account name,
starting balance and starting date! You can pre-date the start date for entering
existing account information.
At first, when entering deposits and withdrawals, you will need to enter each unique
name. You can copy these names to a quick-pick list so you only have to enter each
name once! For repeat transactions, you can use the copy function. If the copied
transaction is a check, the next available check number will be suggested. In most
cases you only need 3 mouse clicks to copy a transaction :
1) Click on the record you want to copy
3) Click the accept button
Records can be sorted on the main screen simply by clicking the column titles.
This allows finding transactions based on check number, who, when and how much.
Another use is to sort by 'cleared' to group all records that have yet to clear
together, for marking them as they clear the bank. This is done right from the main
screen by selecting the record to clear and clicking the clear button.
It's always a good idea to keep printed reports of your data. We suggest that you
print a hard copy monthly. To do this, Simply Checking provides an easy print function.
It's as simple as picking a start date from one calendar and a finish date from another!
It's a good practice to back-up regularly to protect your data in the event of a computer
crash. We provide easy to use back-up and restore features. To back-up you simply select
a drive letter and optionally a folder. Restoring is equally easy. This enables those who
are not familiar with Windows Explorer to protect their data!
